Camping at Concepcion

What should have been just a driving tutorial of a friend turned into a road and camping trip a few days before 2015 ended. Packed with just the bare essentials, we drove about 50 kms to Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro, Philippines. Aside from the usual woes of a beginner, my friend (with the driving instructor patiently teaching her) was able to drove us sans major mishaps. The instructor knew a fisherman in the area and he graciously offered his property for us to camp for the night. We bought our food from the local market and our host also gave us some of his freshest catch the following day. Aside from enjoying the beach, you can catch a boat ride going to Bato Tabao, a small rock formation which is open for camping also. One can also go to a nearby coral and sand bar in the area. To know more about Calintaan, visit this site.
