She could have lived.

A week ago during a very difficult time, my cousin delivered a beautiful baby girl. You wouldn’t have known she was 2 months shy of her supposed birth month. She looked healthy for a 7-month premature baby. But inside, she fought a war she could have won if only medical supplies were readily available. The hospital where my cousin was rushed into didn’t have a functioning incubator for babies in dire need like Kelly. She took her first and last breaths in this world, all within 24 hours.

Yes, Kelly could have lived but she has and will in our hearts.

And I think I can do something so that babies like her can have the chance to win the same war Kelly lost.
